For players with sin values of over 20, they can be freely attacked and for players with sin values of over 50, they could not enter cities or they would be attacked by the city guards. They would be grabbed by the guards and sent to prison to serve a 3 hour prison sentence (game time values). Rich players could contribute gold coins to reduce their sin values, but it was very expensive. Ten thousand gold coins only reduced a single sin point.
