Chapter 91 Everything is Real

"Everyone, get in positions. If you see any suspicious movement, don't hesitate to shoot," Xu Yue commanded as they entered the living room full of Xu Family guards. All of them already wore bulletproof vests while carrying assault rifles.

It was rare to possess guns in such a quantity but Xu Family had connections with the military so it wasn't that big of a deal. As long as one didn't carry them out to the streets, the government wouldn't have an issue.

Liu Ye picked a vest for himself before choosing a pistol as well. No matter who they were about to face, guns were still the fastest method to kill.

"Do you think the people we face are benders?" Liu Ye whispered the important question, making Xu Yue pause in hesitation.

Knowing Katherine's words and everything that was happening so far, he was open to assume that it was possible. If Avi was sent to their place, it was only natural that their enemies were also capable of using elements.

"I think there is a high chance he will not use a gun," Xu Yue replied honestly. "Who in their right mind would come to a place with armed men if they were not confident they can leave this place unscratched?"

That was a fair point. It was almost guaranteed that Xu Family wouldn't agree to his demands yet Master Yang still sent someone over with money. It seemed too good to be true and more like an excuse to get closer to him.

"Shouldn't we strike first before he has the chance to do anything?" Liu Ye asked curiously, knowing very well how powerful benders were. If it was true and the man could replicate Avi's skills in real life, it wouldn't be hard for him to kill all of them.

One could simply explode with flames and destroy the whole villa and he didn't wish to endanger Zhenzhen's life.

"Alright, let me handle it," Xu Yue muttered and squeezed his hand to assure him. He didn't have as much authority as she did so he had to rely on her.

"Where is he now?" Leader Xu questioned the butler as he finished gearing up. "I want to know about every move he makes."

"He is still in front of the mansion, Sir. We can lead him inside whenever we are ready," the butler replied kindly while readying his pistol. "Should we search him before he enters?"

Even though the butler looked like he was innocent and gentle, the way he handled the gun was no different than a pro.

"Of course," Leader Xu nodded eagerly. "Check if he has any weapons and demand he leaves them behind. Tell the guards not to act suspicious or he will think we are planning something."

"As you wish, Sir," Butler nodded and left the mansion to carry the orders.

"Wait," Xu Yue stopped him at the last moment. "Let us know if he has any guns on him before we decide to do anything."

"Yes, Miss."

He left and just as Liu Ye thought, the man came unarmed while only carrying a suitcase filled with money. It was really too good to be true.

"Does he have any water on him?" Liu Ye asked randomly, causing the butler to be surprised.

"He actually does have a waterskin filled with water. We thought it might be gasoline but he drank it on the spot so it's not dangerous," the Butler replied casually. Only Xu Yue and Liu Ye knew exactly what it meant.

"This is perfect then," Leader Xu expressed. "We can simply bring him to the middle of the garden and force him to surrender. Afterward, we will interrogate him and get information about his boss."

"Do you really believe Master Yang would send anyone just like that for us to kill? This is too sketchy and I don't like it," Xu Yue called out and commanded on the spot, "Tell everyone to withdraw and close the gates shut. Get everyone back inside the villa then get in positions on the windows and shoot when he breaks in. Hurry up!"

"Xu Yue, what are you even saying? What about the whole plan from—"

Leader Xu's speech got cut off by sudden screams and gunshots coming from outside.

"It seems like he has already entered inside on his own…" Liu Ye muttered as he rushed towards the window and soon spotted a young man in a suit walking towards the Villa. He carried an ice spear in his hand which was now red from blood dripping down.

"What are you waiting for?! Shoot that bitch! He is here to kill us!" Xu Yue cried out to wake everyone up from the shock and opened the door with her rifle in hand. She crouched to aim better and fired without hesitation.

The man seemed already prepared as he pulled out more water in advance and created an Ice Wall in front of him. The ice chipped away with every bullet hit only to reconstruct right after into perfect condition.

Liu Ye was the first to join her after stealing a rifle from another guard and began shooting. Both of them synced and shot at the exact spot in the middle only to stop with their eyes widened.

The water from the fountain flew in the air and enhanced the ice wall further. It grew thicker and surrounded him from all sides before creating a thin layer of water barrier on the outside.

"Everyone! On the ground!" Liu Ye yelled as he grabbed Xu Yue by the hand and pulled her behind the stone pillar. He knew exactly what that ability was and they didn't have time to return inside.

Swoosh!

Ice bullets came at them like a machine gun and bombarded the whole villa. Despite being made of tempered glass, windows shattered and guards screamed from the inside.

"Fuck!" Liu Ye cursed as one of the shards grazed his arm but he held Xu Yue in his arms. "When he stops, we need to get inside and run! We can't beat him on our own!"

Knowing that everything from the game was actually present in real life made him regret that they didn't prepare beforehand. If that Waterbender could stop bullets and shoot them all at the same time, it was just a matter of time before they were all dead. He couldn't let that happen.

When the bullets stopped, he was about to pull Xu Yue with him when she questioned hurriedly, "What if you awaken now? Can you fight him?"
