After my short nap I got to watch an entertaining scene.

F’neli, the sneaky ‘Boss’ being berated by his young female alchemist.

It had all started with a marriage proposal from a nearby noble in the town. F’neli had wanted his sister to take up the offer. Money, land, title, what more could a woman want?

Poor guy, he approached his sister with the concept right after she’d received the ring I left for her. The ensuing conversation was cute.

“They’ll never take me alive!” S’neli said, her hand holding several round potion bottles between her fingers. I knew those bottles contained highly ‘excitable’ substances.

“Why not?” F’neli had asked as the two flunkies near him stayed carefully behind him. Sometimes, guards are about as useful as cockroaches.

“Because I’m going to kill all of them! Dead people can’t take me alive!” S’neli said, her eyes blazing with fury. One hand was twitching in throwing motions towards her erstwhile brother. It was enough to have them backing out of the place, fast.

After her brother left, S’neli spent several minutes channeling her fury into making a potion that glowed with a peculiar bright orange glow. I didn’t trust the constant bubbling the solution made after being poured into a bottle either.

Watching her slip the gold ring on, I witnessed a skyshattering smile of blooming brilliance before she pulled out the Stone. Placing it against the newly created potion she made a small cut on her other hand linking the blood sacrifice in a flash. The completed magical circuit imbued the potion with even greater power from the Chaos of the Stone.

Whoever had that volatile potion thrown at them…wouldn’t live…long…

I prayed silently for the noble who’d made a poor choice, ah, beauty is the root of great misfortune, eh?

At least said noble’s family won’t have to pay large funeral costs right?

The unfortunate ones that will be caught up in the collateral damage are just unlucky.

Well if they are hanging around someone who thinks their mere ‘nobility’ grants them the right to harass my alchemist, hmph.

They deserve their fate.
