Sproutling 108
One does not simply eat a Worldheart, forge a world, and walk it off.
It has taken me weeks to recover.
Weeks ridden with time-space fever dreams, and soul searching.
Eventually, I grew gradually better after I managed to discover something new deep within my soul.
Drawing on the human memories, I theorize this object is the vaunted ‘Dao Soul’ from many descriptions of its appearance.
My personal Dao Soul, unlike the other descriptions I remember, does not have a human appearance.
It is a tiny tree, with 10 different colored roots, a white trunk, and chaos colored leaves and branches.
Currently, only the red root, and the root that continues to grow and die in an endless loop, are brightly lit up. I firmly believe this corresponds to my affinity in Flame and Time respectively. Of course, with that as a starting point I am willing to bet someone else’s soul that the other roots are associated with Water, Earth, Air, Space, Lightning, Metal, Light, and Darkness.
Just a guess of course, not like they are blatantly obviously color coded or anything.
The closer I am to waking up, the greater the amount of vitality I feel flowing into me from Dryad.
Whatever she’s doing right now is extremely helpful.
I can faintly feel her lurking at the edge of the soul landscape, her mind flickering between rationality, and berserk madness.
Nothing to worry about though, she’s got problems, but I’ve gotten stronger.
Much stronger.
Time’s Shadow surrounds me now like a familiar pet, fully under my control. Following the path I glimpsed, I have mastered several new abilities. Unfortunately, my previous Chaos spells have been sacrificed on the altar of progress. Chaos power is still my prime energy, however the method of manipulation has changed vastly.
Now, my Absolute Domain encompasses two Laws.
Flame and Time.
It is both a step forward, and a step backwards.
On one hand, the incredible ease that raw Chaos could accomplish the impossible has been lost.
However, the cost of my current abilities is a fraction of the power required from before.
Now, if I was to eat a Worldheart, and reforge the world it came from, I would use less than fifty percent of my total power.
Soon, I will finish awakening, and then I can experiment and plan further.
Whatever threats might abound in the new world we are in, Dryad is clearly able to handle them.
With that in mind, I will consolidate my strength further.
As long as nothing triggers my defenses, there isn’t a need to hurry in my honest opinion.
Time heals all wounds, after all, especially when its Chaos empowered.
